Dr. Thangavelu Hospital has been started by Dr. K. Thangavelu and it was
successfully running since 1985, Dr.Thangavelu Hospital extended his Wings and
transformed into a Speciality Hospital, Abirami Kidney Care, Erode.
Dr. Saravanan MD.,(Gen Med), DM.,(Nephrology) Medical Director & CEO, the man behind
the team Abirami kidney care is devoted to Nephrology and Renal Transplantation. He
is the Managing Director of Abirami Kidney Care Dr. Thangavelu Hospital at Erode. He
is son of Dr. K. Thangavelu Chairman & Founder of Abirami Kidney Care Dr. Thangavelu
Hospital at Erode. Dr.K.Thangavelu has been serving people of erode and saving lives
for more than 4 decades. Dr. Saravanan MD.,(Gen Med), DM.,(Nephrology) Medical
Director & CEO, was fortunate enough to receive first-hand experience from his
father, who has been a great teacher from Tanjore Medical College. Dr.T.Saravanan
entered the profession, completed his M.B.B.S., in 2005 with M.D., (Gen Med) in
2008. After entering the profession, he got special interest in Nephrology with
Renal Transplant need of the hour, He selected Nephrology as his super speciality
degree and finished his Masters in D.M., Nephrology in 2013 at Coimbatore. He
returned to Erode with the intention of rendering service to his own people. He has
so far performed 30 kidney transplants. Dr. Saravanan, who has been considered a
hope in the horizon to cause solace and satisfaction to the people of Erode and
Karur.
Started its own dialysis unit in September 2016 with 2 machines. At present we have a total of 14 units with dedicated 3 units to cater seropositive, 2 for Chronic HCV guests and one dedicated for Chronic Hepatitis B persons.
We perform around 1000 sessions including of 200 high flux Hemodialysis session per month

the irrefutable viewpoint that, when compared to the rest of India, Tamil Nadu Organ
Sharing is the one which is involved in most of the kidney transplant systems for
other States.
